The Three Little Cubs Moses Basket Digital Pattern and accompanying tutorials provide instructions only. No finished Moses basket is included with the purchase.
By purchasing, downloading, accessing or using this pattern or any accompanying tutorial, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Safety & Intended Use
Moses baskets and other infant-related products require careful construction and responsible use.
This pattern is not a safety certification, product approval, safety assessment, or guarantee that a finished basket will be safe or compliant for infant use.
The finished item is created by the individual maker using their own materials, components, tools, workmanship, crochet tension, construction methods and judgement. Three Little Cubs has no control over these factors and cannot verify the construction or safety of individual items made by others.
For this reason, Three Little Cubs does not certify, approve or guarantee the safety, durability, performance or suitability of any finished basket or other item made using this pattern or tutorial.
The maker must ensure that the finished product is appropriate and safe for its intended use and complies with all applicable laws, regulations, product-safety requirements, testing requirements and relevant safe-sleep guidance in the country or territory where the product is made, sold, supplied or used.
If you intend to sell or supply a finished item made using this pattern, you are responsible for determining which legal and safety requirements apply to you and your product.
Infant Safety
A basket made from this pattern must not be assumed to be suitable for infant sleep, unsupervised use or carrying a baby simply because it has been made according to the pattern.
If you are making a basket for your own personal use, we strongly recommend that any use with an infant is fully supervised by a responsible adult and that the baby is never left unattended in the basket.
The maker and end user are responsible for determining whether the finished product is suitable for its intended use and for following all applicable safe-sleep guidance and product-safety requirements.
If you intend to sell or commercially supply a finished basket, you are responsible for determining and meeting all applicable product-safety, testing, certification, labelling and legal requirements in the country or territory where the product is sold or supplied. Where appropriate, you should seek advice from a suitably qualified product-safety professional or testing laboratory before placing the product on the market.
Safety Testing & BS EN 1466:2023
Three Little Cubs has had its own finished Moses basket products professionally safety tested against BS EN 1466:2023
However, this testing applies only to the specific finished products manufactured and supplied directly by Three Little Cubs and to the configuration, materials and components that were tested.
The testing does not apply to this digital pattern, the written instructions or tutorials, or any basket or other product made by another person using this pattern or a Three Little Cubs kit.
A finished product made by another person may differ in materials, components, dimensions, construction, workmanship or other characteristics and therefore cannot be assumed to meet BS EN 1466:2023 or any other applicable safety standard.
Our safety testing and certification must not be represented or used as evidence that a basket made by another person using this pattern or one of our kits has been safety tested, certified or approved by Three Little Cubs.
If you intend to sell or commercially supply a finished product, you are responsible for determining whether independent testing, certification or other conformity assessment is required in your jurisdiction.
Maker & Seller Responsibility
If you make a finished item using this pattern, you are responsible for the finished product.
If you sell, supply, gift or otherwise provide the finished item to another person, you are responsible for ensuring that the product is safe, suitable for its intended purpose and complies with all applicable requirements in the relevant jurisdiction.
This includes, where applicable, responsibility for:
* the materials and components used;
* the plywood base and any other structural components;
* the mattress and any accessories supplied;
* the dimensions and construction of the finished product;
* the quality and suitability of your workmanship;
* any alterations or modifications made to the pattern;
* appropriate warnings, instructions and labelling;
* required safety assessments or testing;
* product traceability and documentation; and
* compliance with applicable consumer, product-safety and other legal requirements.
Permission to sell a finished item made from this pattern does not constitute approval, certification or confirmation by Three Little Cubs that the finished item is safe or legally compliant.
Materials, Tension & Pattern Variations
The pattern has been developed and tested using the materials, dimensions and construction methods specified within the instructions.
Changing the yarn, cord, base, mattress, hardware, dimensions, hook size, tension, stitch count, construction method or any other component may alter the finished product and its characteristics.
Three Little Cubs cannot verify or guarantee the safety, fit, strength, durability or performance of a finished product where the maker substitutes materials, components or construction methods or otherwise modifies the pattern.
Liability
Three Little Cubs cannot control how this pattern or tutorial is interpreted, followed or modified, nor can we control the materials, components, workmanship or construction methods used by an individual maker.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Three Little Cubs shall not be responsible for loss, damage or other consequences arising from:
* the maker’s choice or use of materials or components;
* the maker’s workmanship or construction methods;
* failure to follow the pattern or instructions;
* modifications or alterations to the pattern;
* incorrect tension, measurements or stitch counts;
* misuse or inappropriate use of the finished product; or
* the sale, supply or use of a finished product made by another person.
Nothing in this disclaimer is intended to exclude, restrict or limit any liability, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or limited under the applicable law.
International Use
This pattern is sold internationally. Laws and safety requirements relating to infant products, Moses baskets, product safety, testing, labelling, selling and consumer protection vary between countries and jurisdictions.
Three Little Cubs does not represent or warrant that this pattern or a finished product made from it complies with the laws or safety requirements of any particular country.
It is the responsibility of the maker and/or seller to research and comply with the requirements applicable in the jurisdiction where the finished product is manufactured, sold, supplied or used.
Copyright & Intellectual Property
This pattern, together with all accompanying photographs, videos, written instructions, diagrams and other instructional content, is the intellectual property of Three Little Cubs and is protected by copyright.
Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the pattern for your own crafting purposes and for permitted small-scale sales of finished handmade items. It does not transfer ownership or copyright of the pattern or its contents.
You may not:
* copy or reproduce the pattern or any part of it;
* share, distribute or transfer the digital file;
* upload the pattern or its contents to any website, group, platform or file-sharing service;
* sell, resell or redistribute the pattern or tutorial;
* reproduce or distribute the written instructions, photographs, diagrams or videos;
* translate and distribute the pattern or any translated version;
* claim the pattern or its contents as your own; or
* use the pattern or its contents to create or distribute another pattern, tutorial or instructional product.
This applies to both digital and printed copies and includes sharing screenshots, photographs, extracts, download links or other copies of the pattern or tutorial.
Selling Finished Items
You are welcome to sell small quantities of finished handmade items created using this pattern, provided that the items are genuinely handmade by you and that clear design credit is given to Three Little Cubs as the original designer.
Selling finished items does not give you permission to reproduce, sell, distribute or share the pattern or tutorial.
Permission to sell finished items does not mean that Three Little Cubs has tested, certified, approved or endorsed your finished product.
You remain solely responsible for the finished product and for complying with all applicable legal and safety requirements.
